Thoughts

Walter's family would like to thank everybody for their donations in his memory through this site to the Warwickshire Wildlife Trust. With all of your kind donations, we have raised over £1200 and added a plaque to the memorial tree at Brandon Marsh Nature Reserve. The money will help the WWT do many things; buy land of low wildlife value, improve this land by restoring lost habitats and reconnect people with nature at a scale they have not done before. It will also help them create opportunities to help others do the same on their land and leave a lasting, positive legacy that everyone can enjoy. If you are in the Coventry area, pop along and visit the memorial plaque. Enjoy the nature! The funeral was lovely, a fitting tribute to a wonderful man much loved and admired by friends and family. We will all miss him so very much.

Thanks Walter for your dedication to Coventry Scratch Orchestra. Our group exists because you refused to give up making music when the community orchestra was disbanded. You thought we could continue playing as a group and your enthusiasm and love for playing your flute saw this vision through. You arranged music for us and you kept us going even through lockdown. When restrictions eased you got us going again. Glad to have known you. Yes, we will miss you greatly.
